Another great tour from Women of London (this was our second). Getting away from history that revolves around politicians, royals, religious and business types was a refreshing change. Also basing the tour in the East End gives it a much more diverse focus, reflecting that part of London. Becky again provided an informative commentary with poignant observations. Learning about the women of East London with Emily as our guide is one of the best things I've done in London in the last two years! We gained a fascinating insight into the lives of many women who played crucial and sadly often overlooked roles in women's emancipation, social and political reform and in numerous other ways, all put into the context of the ever-changing and ever multi-faceted social fabric of this wonderful city. Emily was extremely indulgent of and responsive to all our many questions and ponderings. I highly recommend this tour and would like to thank Emily for putting her heart and soul into bringing the stories of these women to life in the streets of East London.

Fascinating from start to finish with stories woven at a quick pace and packed with references to important events, political reform, social change and lots more. Emily was really engaging and extremely knowledgeable.
